Could it really be a brilliant future

Here we are, approaching the middle of 2022. What can be said about this year that hasn’t already been said elsewhere? We’ve seen the rapid re-opening of many key industries post-pandemic which has created vacancies across all levels.

We’ve seen both employers and candidates re-evaluate their expectations in the workplace. It’s a turbulent time, but one that seems to be redefining the status-quo and hopefully creating a more positive work-life balance for everyone.

While we as consultative recruiters can’t write the script for our clients or candidates, we can use our talents and experience to get to the heart of what each of them truly need and create more positive outcomes moving forward.

This business is driven by people and personalities and the importance of building real, long-term relationships cannot be understated. On one hand, we have clients who trust us to help shape the future of their businesses. Their worlds are constantly evolving and what may have been an operational priority last month can change direction in a heartbeat.

This can create exciting opportunities for us and it’s our responsibility to deliver quality talent when we’re called upon to do so.

How do we go about attracting and engaging those elusive superstar candidates especially now when we are seeing nearly three quarters of all employers looking to recruit this year and nearly half of them reporting that their vacancies are hard to fill?…

It comes down to communication.

Learning as much as we can about the companies we are recruiting for – from their history, long-term outlook, culture and management styles all the way down to how they celebrate employee’s birthdays can reveal so much of what we need to get those amazing candidates excited about the future.

Simply put, candidates usually make themselves available because they’re looking for a better opportunity than what they currently have.
